Excuse me if I'm a bit confused right now - but I think I heard a man's penis (large as it was!) recently garnered more suspicion than a kid ordering thousands of rounds of ammunition over the Internet. I haven't heard yet but it doesn't appear Darrell Issa is interested in investigating how this is possible.
Or; perhaps he understand we live in a country where the NRA owns most of the congress - so it is not out-of-the-ordinary for a penis to be more feared than a bullet.
We can all find glib words and dark humor to frame the weird juxtaposition of events as described above - but it cannot hide the frustration and sadness over the events that took the lives of innocent people in that movie theater. I cannot bring myself to call the individuals who believe in the message of the NRA evil - but I can say their policies have manifested events that are terribly evil - and they need to think about that.
I read in the New York Times a quote from a spokesman for a pro-gun group that said the theater has to take some responsibility for what happened - because if they had allowed other individuals to bring concealed weapons into the theater - someone could have shot back. Can any of you imagine the carnage with a full-on gun fight in that theater?
Think about what the NRA is saying: We created the environment that allows individuals to purchases weapons of mass destruction - and if you just allow a fully armed Ted Nugent and the rest of us into your libraries, theaters, and restaurants - we can protect you from the very insanity we created.
HOLY SHIT!
