I don't know how many on the blog have been through a bad hurricane, but the result is a lot of destruction and a lot of hours huddled inside waiting for the worst to pass.
Post hurricane profiteering is disallowed and aggressively prosecuted as it's not a good thing to profit on the misery of others.
This of course begs the question - why is big pharma, insurance and oncology allowed to profiteer on those that are seriously ill or dying of cancer?
Are chemo and rad the best we can do?
The way the entire medical industrial complex is structured and operates needs to be rethought if we are to have proper medical care for all.
Cancer and other serious illness is like a multi year hurricane for patients - so like hurricane victims - the profiteering needs to go.
