Good evening (EDT) folks!  I'm basically stealing all of sidnora's and Phil S 33's work and the list from that wrong coast show off, navajo, in order to compose this brilliant diary.

The greater NYC area boasts the most beautiful, well connected, talented, friendly, intelligent, fabricating, delusional Kossaks anywhere.  We are meeting for brunch on August 19, at noon (subject to change by about 14 minutes) at Spitzer's Corner.  Elliot might be there because he heard I am very hot.

Here's the great info I am stealing right out of sidnora's diary:

Date: Sunday, August 19

Time: 12 noon ish

Place: Spitzer's Corner
101 Rivington Street (corner of Ludlow)

Directions by subway: J,M,Z,F to Essex St./Delancey Street Station.

If you're coming in from outside the city:

From Grand Central: take the downtown 6 train (6 stops) to Bleecker Street Station, walk downstairs to Broadway-Lafayette station, change for the downtown F train (2 stops) to Delancey Street Station.

From Penn Station: walk one block east to 34th St/Herald Square subway station, take F train (10 stops) to Delancey Street Station.

From Port Authority Bus Terminal:take the downtown A,C, or E train to West 4th Street Station (4 stops), walk downstairs and take the downtown F train (3 stops) to Delancey Street.

Any of these trips takes about 20-25 minutes.

Trust me -- if you get confused or nervous about the subway directions or where to go once you emerge from under the City -- ask a New Yorker.  They don't look like tourists.  I've never, ever had a New Yorker refuse to give me directions -- I think it is a City pride thingy.

RSVP herein -- AND RSVP TO sidnora via kosmail in order for us to get a body count.  That includes friends, lovers, strangers you picked up on the way whom you may be bringing along.

If you arrive at Spitzers and are looking for our sedate group -- I'm the one who looks like Jamie Lee Curtis, Phil S 33 looks like a young Sean Connery and sidnora will be incognito (CIA or M16 related, if you get my drift).

Here's the list of interested parties thus far.  Please add your name!!!!  We will get a final count closer to the date.

If you are driving, there's a very inexpensive municipal lot a block or two away, on Delancey Street.

And I'm seeing some obvious missing names -- ericlewis0 and Trix and Mets102 and a few others.  Don't make me search you out.

Oh, right -- Steve Buscemi -- well, ok, he may be filming that day but he does live in the area and probably reads DKos and will want to meet me since I'm his biggest fan.  If he can't show up -- we have all the other gorgeous stars listed above.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
