The corporate line from Hyatt hotels is that UNITE HERE, the hotel workers union, is making stuff up, targeting Hyatt for some kind of unfair advantage despite Hyatt's innocence and adherence to industry standards. To succeed at that, Hyatt has to erase not only the many workplace safety citations it's racked up in recent years, but the voices of workers saying, as the eight women in this video say, "Hyatt hurts us ... Hyatt hurts our backs ... hurts our wrists ... hurts our hands ... hurts our shoulders."
Hyatt is trying to literally keep these women on their knees and in pain. We should be listening to them.
