I. hate. doing. this. I am sad and scared and embarrassed and don't want to do this and can think of no other choice. I need help. Very much so. I wrote a diary on the eighteenth pleading for help and Kossacks responded beautifully. We were able to pay our water and electric bills. We were able to buy groceries and school clothes. We were on cloud nine and then our transmisson went up and we have no car and no money.
I live with my fifty year old disabled daughter, her fifty-five year old husband, my nine year old grandson I have custody of because he was abused and left go hungry by his mother, and a sixteen year old foster child also named Rachel that we are trying to adopt.
This is actually a two broken transmission story. My sil drives a big truck and the transmission and clutch went out and we spent eight thousand dollars and he was out of work two months while getting it fixed. He was hardly on the road again before it broke down again and we couldn't afford to fix it. He got a job driving a dump truck, but with the heavy rains and storms in Georgia has been out of work a lot. Hence, the previous plea for help. Our only car - a Ford Taurus - blew it's transmission last Tuesday while taking Josh to his baseball game. A friend of my daughter loaned us her car for a few days and Saturday we used our last money to rent one so my sil could get to work and we could get to doctor and other appointments.
And now we need two thousand four hundred dollars for a transmission for the Taurus. I do not have an estimate to publish with this diary, but could publish the receipt for it if we collect enough money to pay for it. I really hate asking for money again but I am beyond desperate. Anything anyone could send would be muchly appreciated. Along with prayers and good wishes. I can also probably pay people back on down the road. Thank you in advance. Peace. Rachel
