Marabout40 is a fellow Kossack who like many of us are ill prepared for the Thunderdome that is life in these united states. after battling illness and the vagaries of the job market this Kossack has been reduced to speculating on what location they might live in to maintain an existence.

They have neared the finish line in their efforts to restore their stability but need an extra financial oomph to satisfy the deposits.

Well, first of all, we all want to thank the many generous and kind Kossacks who have stepped up and donated funds, good thoughts, recs, hugs and encouragement to Marabout40 to help her leave this place:
On Wednesday last, Marabout40 and her best pal, Tucker, packed up a U-Haul and drove south to Westport Massachusetts to accept an offer of a room by our fellow Kossack, Bumbi.
We are happy and grateful to report that she has settled, at least for now.  Bumbi has offered to give her a substantial break on the rent at a lovely place in Massachusetts.
Marabout has unpacked (some!) and Tucker has already made himself at home.
He and Bumbi's cats are happily helping to run the household and doing a great job.
We all know so many people who have been devastated by the economic collapse and chronic high unemployment of the last several years.  But Marabout has had an unusually long run of bad luck starting with her 2009 divorce, 2010 layoff from her job of 10 years just two weeks after being diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, her move back to NYC, subsequent eviction, and finally, her disappointing and unfortunate stint in Maine.  She was only able to stay 5 weeks with the person who invited her there, and ended up in an Extended Stay outside of Portland for two and a half months. All her attempts to find work and a room for her and Tucker were unsuccessful.

We do need to ask again for your help. She needs the first months' rent of $300.00 immediately and as much of a cushion as we can provide. One challenge Marabout will have living in rural Mass. is transportation, so she'll also need funds to get around for job search and getting to and from appointments and interviews. Donations by PayPal would be greatly appreciated. Marabout40's PayPal address is dionne_jacques@yahoo.com. If snail mail is better for you, you can contact her through her sig by Kosmail.

Just as important are any job leads at all.  Marabout is experienced in project management, process management, corporate governance, communications, social media, technical writing, editing, proofing, but she would be happy to take on anything that she can reasonably do for now. She is comfortable and equipped to work virtually. She's happy to provide a copy of her resume upon request.

Many many thanks for whatever you can do.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
