One day, I will stop. But today is not that day.
Today's "important point" from the nation's most infamous teen mom/born-again virgin/failed reality TV star is ... drum roll, please ...
While I’m excited and thankful to be returning to Dancing With The Stars, not everyone is thrilled I’m coming back. When the new contestants participated in a panel discussion for the Television Critics Association’s summer tour, the critics’ disdain for me was obvious. While they asked many questions (or, really, just a few questions over and over), only one stands out in my mind: Would I mind dancing with a gay dance partner?Spoiler alert: Bristol totally would dance with a gay dance partner if it means she can "maybe – just maybe – walk away with the mirror ball trophy."
She sure gives it up easy, doesn't she?
And whose fault is it that Bristol is compelled to set the record straight on how she thinks gay people are wrong, unless they help her win a trophy, in which case, yeah, they're all right? The stupid media, of course:
In their simplistic minds, the fact that I’m a Christian, that I believe in God’s plan for marriage, means that I must hate gays and must hate to even be in their presence. Well, they were right about one thing: there was hate in that media room, but the hate was theirs, not mine.Last time I checked, God's plan for marriage, according to Christians, was not to get knocked up in high school, and then spend years fighting in court with the baby daddy about which one of you is a shittier parent (another spoiler: you both are), while lecturing everyone, including, yes, President Obama, about how we shouldn't "change thousands of years of thinking about marriage" and that "we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home." How "we" know that when "we" are raising "our" out-of-wedlock child in a fatherless home is beyond "us."
Hey, Bristol, how about a meaningless shot at "the Left" before you go?
To the Left, “tolerance” means agreeing with them on, well, everything. To me, tolerance means learning to live and work with each other when we don’t agree – and won’t ever agree.Whereas tolerance on the Right, according to the Palin family, means chowing down on crappy fast food to show just how much you hate gay people.
Please, Palins, don't ever change.
