An iconic Houston restaurant, Beaver's, owned by celebrity chef Monica Pope, has responded to Chick-fil-A's anti-gay bigotry in the most appropriate of ways: creating a hot sandwich that stands for equality:
Chick-on-Chick Filet - two loving chicken breasts married on toasty buns with a honey mustard witness and joined in celebration with tolerant fries.

Delicious. I'm tempted to travel to Houston just to place an order. If you live in Houston, I suggest you do just that.
In fact, perhaps now is the time to declare tomorrow in Houston "Eat Chick-on-Chick" day to support equality and gay marriage in Texas and beyond.
Folks lining up around the block, waiting to support Pope's values and establishment, would be a fine counter to the lines of hate we witnessed last week wrapping around Chick-fil-A stores.
