From the Alliteration Alliance of America:
Official Oratory:
We, the Admins of the Alliteration Alliance of America, wish to warmly welcome the rejuvenated Republican race of Romney/Ryan.
The Alliance, famously formed in '51, has enjoyed only one alliterative ticket since. The fact that they failed to fully find their feet in the campaign, and were direly defeated, was a sad setback for us, and is still a sore spot. The Stevenson/Sparkman situation nearly nixed our national..............reputation. (Let us not even begin to breach the Buchanan/Breckinridge "grandfathering" brouhaha.)
The panic perpetrated a pall on our society for sixty solemn..............years.
But, we have survived much worse.
I am speaking, of course, of the consonance/assonance conflict of 1973.
The reformation and restructuring under the leadership of Lionel Luxembourg.
And the seedy sex scandal of '79, which whittled our membership by many.
While our Alliance doesn't wish to wade waist deep into Washington D.C.'s pool of politics and power, we do commend the Republicans, Romney and Ryan for giving us a chance to best the AAA's battle with bankruptcy.
Officially becoming an alliance of assonance in April of last year, should not be read as countering consonance. On the contrary. We at the Alliteration Alliance of America, have a tent that has a reputation for being rather roomy.
With hope of a resurgence in registration, we feel that a Romney/Ryan pairing of consonance will be just the........................ticket.
Lionel Luxembourg
Lieutenant, Alliteration Alliance of America
UPDATE: Just for fun, this is something i came across (serendipitously) while looking up alliterative synonyms for "fail":
Fail, flunk, bomb, flush it.......How appropriate
