I'm still patiently waiting for a photo of Rep. Medicare Murderer going down on a corn dog. ;D Yea, I'm bad, but I admit I'm bad!

In a brief detour to shamelessly pimp, I will be hosting the weekly "What Are You Reading?" series that's part of the Readers & Book Lovers group tomorrow morning. I'll post shortly after I get to work, so drop on by so I'm not talking to myself. :D

Let's look back on August 14ths of the past. On August 14, 1945, President Truman announced that Japan had surrendered unconditionally, ending World War II. Well, wasn't quite unconditional, but at least the sparkin' fighting stopped, and our guys were coming home.

On this date in 1947, Pakistan became independent of British rule. Well, again, details...details...India gained its independence, the area was carved up into "Hindu VS Muslim," that's how we got Pakistan, and the 2 countries have been BFFs ever since. :(

There are a couple of fun birthdays to note for today! David Crosby is 71, and Steve Martin is 67. So, let's sing & laugh!

Tim Tebow is 25 today {insert image of me NOT Tebowing here}; maybe, Peyton Manning got him a cool present! ;D

Let's get SPARKy! :D Yea, my fair state's in the Top 10; Hoosier "pride" rears its ugly rear AGAIN. In my line of work, boys & girls, this story is a big sparkin' deal - serves 'em right for sheltering a pedophile. I wonder if this phrase will begin popping up in essays in my class in a couple of weeks? ;D Finally, if I swam, I'd be ALL OVER this pool! After all, I was all over the see - through observation decks on the Sears Tower. :D

On with The Rachel Maddow Show!

"Hey Girl" - OK, what's Rep. Kill Medicare As We Know It done to pi$$ off the ladies now? I have no idea what Rachel's talking about with the Ryan Gossling "Hey girl" stuff, but I get how it's being applied to "you know who". ;) A zygote got into a Rep. Ryan event? HA! Mere woman probably wouldn't have made the cut. 2 of the Mittwit's grandkids would be criminals under Rep. Anti - Mommy Parts plan to basically criminalize invetro fertilization - especially if the eggs ended up being tossed into medical refuse like what usually happens. OOPS! Guess the Mittwit should've checked his notes a little more carefully before making his VP choice; he chose poorly. Now, whether or not he melts or goes the way of the person who chose "poorly" in The Last Crusade is another story. ;D The new back alley for abortions could end up in Mexico with women taking drugs without prescriptions & without a doctor's guidance in hopes to induce an abortion. LOVELY. &^%$#@! Rachel mentioned something about the MENSA folk being able to read polls? Uh, I'm not sure about that! They might be able to read them, but they sure as $hit don't comprehend them or prefer to comprehend them in the MENSA bubble in which they live.

"Hey Girl Part Deux" - Karen Finney's in studio to talk MENSA anti - Mommy parts tendencies & the fact the prince of that position is the Mittwit's running mate.

{OK, feed is cutting out so am going to restart computational device, cuss, & fight urge to toss machine outta 2nd story window. Please update what I might miss in comments.}

"This Is Not Good" - There's still primaries going on in some states? EEK! And, I thought my fair state's was late enough in early May. Oye! So, will Rep. End Medicare As We Know It actually set foot in a state where there's a whole lot of people ON Medicare? Does the Mittwit want to murder Medicare or not? As usual, the Mittwit's just gonna keep sticking his wet finger in the air to see which way the wind's blowing. The enthusiasm for the "Ryan plan" in down - ballot races rates about as high my enthusiasm was when DICK was in town. *&^%$#@! Wow, did y'all see that comment from a MENSA strateegery person to The Hill?! YIKES!

"This Is Not Good Part Deux" - Steve Schmidt????!!!! Oh hell... Maybe, HE "lost" $aint $arah from Wasilla's invite to the Tampa Freak Show. ;D He's blaming other MENSA folk for not "understanding" & "fighting" for what Rep. Ryan REALLY wants to do to Medicare. Uh, what's there to "understand" & "fight" for? People get what vouchers & coupons are. Mr. Steve must get the chance to watch Paul Ryan go down on a corn dog for being so gosh - darned nice about ending Medicare as we know it.  He wants Rep. Ryan to go to FL?? BBBbbbWWwwwwwAAAAaaaHHHHhhhhaAAAaaaHHHHhhhAAAaaaaa!!

"Shrug Life" - Speaking of "that woman..." ;D I wonder what Steve Schmidt was thinking around this time 4 years ago? Well, she can spend quality time teaching her grandson more cute words to learn in addition to "*aggot"; maybe, $aint $arah from Wasilla's grandson will learn "*igger," too! Senator McCentury will basically be persona non grata in Tampa, too. Oh well, he's got at least a dozen houses from which to watch the freak show. Wow, can y'all just imagine what William F. Buckley, Jr. would think of $aint $arah from Wasilla??!! Holy crap...&^%$#@! Rep. "Fiscal Conservative" voted to raise the debt ceiling & voted for 2 unfunded wars that put our economy & deficit into the crapper under GWB. THAT'S a damn funny idea of fiscal conservatism, my friends! Man, I'm glad I've never read Atlas Shrugged; from what I hear, I'd end up tossing the mother across the room in pretty short order.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
