Why else would they be releasing nothing but web ads to try and combat the Romney/Ryan frame that Pres Obama cut $700B from Medicare? It boggles the mind.
So either you think Axelrod, Plouffe and Co have lost their minds or something else is going on here.
Are they out of money? Have they spent all their primary monies and have to wait until the Convention to get the locked away GE money?
Naming Rep Ryan as the running mate came out of nowhere - announced late on Friday night, unveiled early Saturday morning. A planned roll out simply would happen like that. So what caused them to rush the unveil? Now folks here, giddy with the Ryan choice, all jumped to the idea that Romney was panicking at the latest polling and wanted to change the subject from the Bain attacks and his tax filings. But what if he got a tip-off from somebody in OFA that the campaign was out of money so they rushed out Ryan unveil knowing they'd have three weeks of unchallenged ads to run against Pres Obama.
Seeing how the last week has played out, with OFA only throwing up web ads - I can't believe Axelrod and Co really think this is all that is necessary. Something else is going on and I think it's lack of funds.
OFA Campaign Web Ad = Reid "sternly worded letter". It's done to fake that something is really being done.
Romney, Ryan, GOP Surrogates and television attack ads are out in full force blanketing the airwaves pushing the idea that Pres Obama took $700B out of medicare, and OFA has headed into an underground bunker somewhere while Pres Obama cracks dog-on-car jokes.
This is campaign malpractice if it's a strategic choice.
