Hi, it's me again, about the AIDS Walk again. Yeah, I know, it gets old, me always asking for money -- and there's the election, with all of those guys asking for money, too. But this is money to help people, right now. AIDS Walk Austin benefits organizations that have foodbanks & are giving out food right now, that are helping people keep their housing, that help people get to their gazillion medical appointments. Donating to this cause today will help someone tomorrow. If you want to help & don't want to hear the music, here's my AIDS Walk Austin page
I have fallen in love with this song recently, dunno why now in particular. But I like it, it is happy & as they say, you can dance to it.
I looked up the lyrics, to see if I can use them for inspiration, and I think maybe I can.
"Called Out In The Dark"
It's like we just can't help ourselves
'Cause we don't know how to back down
We were called out to the streets
We were called in to the towns
And how the heavens, they opened up
Like arms of dazzling gold
With our rain washed histories
Well they do not need to be told
Show me now, show me the arms aloft
Every eye trained on a different star
This magic
This drunken semaphore
And I
We are listening
And we're not blind
This is your life
This is your time
We are listening
And we're not blind
This is your life
This is your time
I was called out in the dark
By a choir of beautiful cheats
And as the kids took back the parks
You and I were left with the streets
Show me now, show me the arms aloft
Every eye trained on a different star
This magic
This drunken semaphore
And I
We are listening
And we're not blind
This is your life
This is your time
This is your life, this is your time -- to do something positive, to help people out. Even if you can't donate at
my AIDS Walk Austin page, help someone today, do something nice for someone. That whole pay it forward thing, it actually works. And dance. Dancing is always good.
So this diary is awfully short on original content from me. But that's my only message - please help AIDS Walk Austin, be nice to people & dance.
