This is a photo of Cole Hain, 11, and his dog, Bingo.
Cole has a potentially fatal form of apnea, which can make his breathing suddenly stop. Bingo (a Jack Russell terrier) is a service dog trained to recognize the sound Cole makes when he's about to stop breathing and bark to let people know he needs CPR. The adorable little dog has saved Cole's life countless times. She's visited him in the hospital and stuck by his side as he went through extensive medical testing and recovered from surgery.

Bingo has been diagnosed with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome and apparently has just a few weeks to live.
Cole has created a “lick-it” list for Bingo:
1) He would like his friends and family to send Bingo dog treats from where ever they live so that Bingo can "TASTE" the world.
2) Take Bingo for one last "public" outing to Ruckers. It is a place that Cole and Bingo go to play video games.
3) To walk around the block twice with Bingo but Cole broke it down to 1 block one day and then the 2nd block the next day.
4) A photo shoot with just Bingo and Cole (this has already been arranged).

The link to Bingo’s Facebook page, where treats, both virtual and real can be sent, is in the CafeMom link. Please consider sending a virtual treat.
It is, as so many real stories are, about just one little boy and one little dog. But compassion for one little boy and one little dog, I think, is what separates us from the compassionless folks on the other side of the aisle.
For us, the life and happiness of each little boy matters.
Being small-minded has nothing to do with questioning the bona fides of someone running for President of the United States. Being small-minded has to do with ignoring people like Cole and Bingo in favor of others who have so very much more.
Special blessings tonight to Cole and Bingo.
