Well.....not exactly....but....he is after all, the world's worst pundit.
But perhaps the most important effect of the Ryan pick is this: It turns the GOP effort from a campaign into a movement. It transforms a mere electoral effort into a political cause.
Yes indeed, good old William is rolling around on the floor covered in trickle down.
With the addition of Paul Ryan, we have a bold and forward-looking Republican ticket that seems to match the moment.
Forward looking with previously proven disastrous policies, ye gawds, the financial crisis never happened, it was so much better when we had serfs.
Bold forward looking, hallelujah, racing boldly into the 19th century where "the people" [especially women] new their place.
Boldly looking forward to:
1] An America with no Unions, by bringing back all the reasons why Unions existed in the first place.
2] The Republican party being as appealing to women as a Papal Decree and having the implements to enforce it.
3] The days when social security and medicare are nothing but a fond remembrance.
4] The days when income equality will lead to high crime rates, poverty and disease once more.
5] When education for the masses is supplied by the church if they are damned lucky to get any at all.
6] The day that "the enlightenment" is finally snuffed out.
7] A brave new America, as if the revolution had never happened.
A yes, looking forward indeed to everything that has failed so miserably before.
