So, that lurking I do to see what gems I can find on RW sites, I think I just found one. As I don't want to link to the Right Scoop (who by the way thought this interview was wonderful), I will go searching elsewhere for the video.
In a new interview with Carl Cameron, Paul Ryan actually says "I've voted to send people to war" as a reason to qualify for having experience in foreign policy.
Found it at Mediaite but the search for the vid continues.
“The way I would say about foreign policy is you know I’ve been in Congress for a number of years,” he told Cameron. “That’s more experience than Barack Obama had when he came into office.”
“I voted to send people to war,” he added.
As a congressman, Ryan voted for the 2002 Iraq Resolution which authorized President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq. He also voted in favor of the Iraq War troop “surge” in 2007
Finally, found the long version on Youtube, see 8.20.
The flippancy with which Ryan says “I voted to send people to war,” is breathtaking, has to be seen to be believed.
