It's been a busy and stressful week here at Planet Quarkstomper, and I don't think I'll be able to crank out this week's installment of my look at Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Sorry, gang.
But since we're exploring Jules Verne, I thought perhaps we might talk a little bit about the genre he inspired. No, not Science Fiction, I mean Steampunk.
Ever since I discovered Jules Verne as a kid, I've been a fan of Victorian-Era Science Fiction. I read H.G. Wells' The Time Machine; I loved The Wild, Wild West. I snapped up the Space 1889 role-playing game.
There's much I could say about Steampunk, and maybe one of these days I'll do a proper diary on it. In the meantime, let's throw the discussion out to you. What do you think about the Steampunk genre and what, if any, are your favorite Steampunk works?
