This dumb article at Catholic.org is so full of holes it's worse than Swiss cheese.
It looks official. The domain name where it sits has an official ring to it -- Catholic.org. But the article "Obamacare Begins Child Sterilization, Without Parental Consent," is utter crap.
And, of course, stupid wingnuts are falling for it.
According to the article, a child in Oregon can be sterilized with their consent at age 15 under the Affordable Health Care Act. Huh?
Yes, the ACA does make preventative health procedures free. But sterilization? And pre-teens, even under state law? No. Never mind that the Oregon law is not a license for sterilization, as some stupid right-wingers appear to believe.
Could there be any easier way to push the next generation towards mass sterilization?
What's even more frightening is that this story has largely flown under the radar of major news sources, save a few sparse reports. Apparently, teenage sterilization does not seem to be a major concern, in spite of the fact that birthrates in the western hemisphere are all but sustainable.
A look through Google shows several right-wing
blogs have picked up on this crap, but not legitimate news outlets or even Fox News. (You'll note the distinction.) Wonder why? Because it's bull.
It's frightening the lies the right will use. And conservatives say liberals have the mental disease. Yeah, right.
