I got nothin' as far as a witty introduction - or even a non witty introduction, so let's dive on in; the water's fine!

In the "this day in history" realm, On August 22, 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt became the first United States chief executive to ride in an automobile in public. I wonder who the first "United States chief executive" to...uh..."do it" in a car? It had to be Kennedy. ;D Kristen Wiig from Saturday Night Live is 39 years old today. I don't know her SNL stuff - SNL stopped being funny for me ages ago. HOWEVER, she is simply faboo here. :D

"Stormin' Norman" is 78 today; Dad was the leading investigator in the first "trial of the century."

Let's add some SPARK to our lives! :D Someone at the BBC doesn't care for Mr. Orwell; maybe, he'd get more kudos if he'd appeared nekkid' in Las Vegas! ;D OR OR, the dude or dude - ette responsible for dissing Mr. Orwell blew a book report on Animal Farm or 1984. :) Ya' can't kiss Buddha? Golly! They could've done worse, ya' know. Have you driven an $11 million Ford lately? Finally, avert your eyes! Only the uptight, stuck up, & willfully ignorant need apply.

On with The Rachel Maddow Show!

[Sorry I got in a little late. I was hip deep in a project & lost track of time. We now join Rachel reviewing a sorry history of politicos pleading the 5th - sort of - already in progress.]

"Dodge Challengers" AKA "A Child's Treasury of Politicians Refusing to Answer Very Simple Questions" - That's a hell of a long segment title! :D Me thinks they're all MENSA candidates. They ain't in MENSA for nothin'! ;D It's beginning to appear Rep. Legit Rape SHOULD get his own wing in the SPARK HOF. What say you all? This mess elicited an "F bomb" from a Senate candidate in WA. Well, at least he didn't do it on the floor of the Senate like DICK. If memory serves, Mittwit told Rep. Legit Rape to pull out (yes, word choice on purpose!) for his comments, so logic would dictate that the aforementioned Mittwit look for a new running mate. However, who would want to be the rat to stay on that hopefully - sinking ship? Local press is actually trying to push these issues when candidates are in town. The "belt way folk," however...well...*&^%$#@! And, Rachel, why did you include the Mannity in that group?? He works for FAUX News, ya' know! By the way, I sat in a Dodge Challenger at the IN State Fair this past weekend - pretty cool. :) Dr. John Willke, Dr. Ladies Can't Get Pregnant If They're Raped, is a former Mittwit campaign surrogate - OOPS! Ah, teh wonders of teh intertubz... ;D That "Doc" lives in Cincinnati?! $HIT! That is WAY TOO CLOSE for my comfort - about 90 minutes or so away from teh crazy.

{And, my intertubz suddenly went kerplunk, so please fill in missing details in comments.}

"Dodge Challengers Part Deux" - Craig Gilbert's a journalist who's had the lovely duty of covering Rep. Kill Medicare As We Know It for a long darn time; he probably feels like he needs to shower a little more than the rest of us due to HIS job. The Mittwit/Medicare Murderer ticket's going to have "some awkward moments" is what Mr. Gilbert said; Mr. Gilbert's being damn damn charitable. ;D

"Objects in Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear" - NICE wire hanger in the graphic for this segment! Rep. Kill Medicare has now DENIED that the MENSA party has ever had any interest whatsoever in taking birth control and/or its access away from we, the ladies. LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE! Again, heaven bless teh Google, the intertubz, etc. :) These MENSA folk are trying their most darn to discuss the economy & jobs - jobs - jobs, but THEY are the ones who changed their minds (not it the subject was there to begin with) from jobs - jobs - jobs to Yucky Mommy Parts - Yucky Mommy Parts - Yucky Mommy Parts. Women in TX are going to Mexico to seek drugs to induce abortions, and some of them are dying. So, the "old school" wire hangers have changed into mere pills. Family planning funds have taken a hell of a cut in TX, and, if you want an abortion, you get a vaginal probe in the process just for good measure. AND, TX is now going to cut off all money to Planned Parenthood. Again, if Governor Secession's so damn serious about taking his state out of the union, LET THEM GO. Thanh Tan is The Texas Tribune reporter who brought these women's deaths to light.

"Ejection 2012" - Is this segment going to be about Rep. Ron Paul delegates making mischief at the freak show? OOPS! Nope...it's all about Orly teh Taitz, and she's trying to inflict her ilk into my fair state to keep President Obama off the ballot! HA! Now, Mittwit's getting a challenge in WA state from the rabid wing of the MENSA party. So, the basis of this challenge has something to do with the MENSA candidate for Senate there? I haz teh confused.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
