For Democrats, I mean. :)
For instance ... Will Isaac forestall Romney's plans to shut down Ron Paul's supporters? I know that Romney and company moved the role call officially naming him as the Republican Party's presidential nominee to Monday to avoid it being televised. Since Isaac's arrival has caused the GOP to cancel Monday night, does that mean that the roll call will have to be televised? If so, will there be any ruckus from the Ron Paul supporters* who could get their chance to make their voices heard nationally televised now? Or has the RNC/Romney-camp already figured out how to take those voices out of play?
* Semi-unrelated note. I live in Georgia and I've seen a handful of Obama bumper stickers, two Paul Ron stickers and NONE for Mitt. In 2008, I definitely saw plenty of McCain and McCain/Palin stickers.
More on the RNC behind the orange fleur-de-lis of Kos.
Here's another thing, why does Mitt's camp think that Ann Romney is SO valuable that they HAVE to make sure she's televised? How are they so completely blind to how poorly this woman plays? Practically every time she speaks, she winds up letting loose one or two comments that are insulting to the extreme to the middle (and poor) class. And worse, it's clear that she doesn't even have a clue that she is doing so. (Obviously, neither does Mitt.)
I think it's very possible that others do get the Ann Romney issue -- I mean, not everyone surrounding Mitt is an unadulterated idiot. However, reports are making a pretty strong case that Mitt is in full I-get-what-I-want mode and is not taking any prisoners. He (erroneously) believes that Ann makes him look good and therefore is likely to not listen to anyone telling him otherwise. He may also be convinced that since Mike Huckabee has praised him so in the past and he's such a gosh-darn-likable fella that putting him in the spotlight will help some of that likability rub off on him too, and is ignoring the cray-cray Akin association. (Because he is Mitt and he is quite good at blinding himself to a reality he is not interested in seeing.)
It just seems crazy that anyone could be that deluded on so many fronts, but Mitt sure seems to be a prime candidate that proves the crazy is true. To be fair, I'm not sure I can entirely blame him, though. The fact that the media has been playing along and not calling him on the vast majority of his lies, flip-flops and what-not has obviously given him the thumbs up to continue to act in such a hugely subpar manner as a presidential nominee.
So I have to wonder, On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being ridiculously, champagne raining down from on high good) just how gloriously a clusterfuck of epic proportions will the RNC actually be? Which leaves me with my final thought posed as a question in poll form.
