"Americans For Prosperity" PAC, led and funded by the Koch brothers, is pulling its ads off Pennsylvania's airwaves. The battle of Pennsylvania looks lost for the GOP.
“Americans for Prosperity (the Koch group) has cancelled the rest of their PA TV ad buy. Still up in other swing states including MN and NM”
The PAC is of course not giving anything away, saying things change all the time. However leaving a huge state right before Labor Day gives the appearance that they won't even attempt to work voters in the state.
“We’re making changes to our ad flights frequently – nothing necessarily stays the same for long. Beyond that, we actually don’t discuss details of our own internal strategy,” said AFP Spokesperson Levi Russell to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Pennsylvania, one-time swing state lock, has appeared to swung solidly into the strong democratic column. A well-funded PAC like this giving up on a blue collar state like PA only makes states like Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin seem one step away from being locked up by the Obama campaign.
