Just my own epiphany from the the Republican Convention last night:
My kids have been watching episodes of the classic Pinky and the Brain during these last days of summer vacation, and between my preparing to teach, I have watched a few.
And last night, watching the train wreck of a convention, it hit me: We're talking Ryan & the Bain.
OK, the comparisons only go so far, but you have to admit that the physical similarities between Pinky and Ryan are just as pronounced as they are with Eddie Munster (just imagine Ryan uttering an awe-inspired "Naaaaaarf" and you'll see my point).
But here is my main point: Is it just me, or has Romney's entire presidential campaign seemed like one midnight campaign after another. Having everything all set to take over the world, only to have the "special super secret guest who has going to be the key to everything" come out and soliloquize to an empty chair and totally make the convention a laughing stock?
