I watched much of the RNC convention. I watched Mitt Romney's Mormon assistant pastor. I watched Paul Ryan. I watched much of Mitt Romney's speech. I certainly watched Clint Eastwood. I watched Chris Christie.
Even watched Tagg, which was pointless as I don't speak Spanish.
So I'm trying to recall a single policy that the Republicans offered.
Can't think of a one.
Mostly the speakers shared their biographies.
Born in hard times, became, did a great job.
They attacked Obama a bit.
America is great, yadda yadda.
I'm not sure they even emphasized their desire to repeal Obamacare.
But did they explain their policy on Medicare? On taxation? On which programs they would actually cut?
Actually Clint Eastwood was the only one who offered a policy- withdraw from Afghanistan. Unfortunately, that isn't Romney's policy.
I think the Republicans would like to believe that by humanizing Romney and tooting their own horns, and attacking Obama, they will get votes.
I don't think they will.
The convention was just totally forgettable. An informercial that gets in the way of watching football.
I don't think this convention will get them a single vote.
