I am not a runner, so I had to ask my significant other whether a sub 3 hour in a marathon was good. He said are you kidding me who do you know that ran a sub 3? When I said Paul Ryan he was really surprised. In fact he was shocked. Of course as with anything involving Ryan and Romney they just can't tell the truth.
In Texas we have a saying, "if he told me it was raining I would have to go outside to check whether he he had just turned a hose on the roof".
However, this is a new low. Runner's World has taken to actual reporting and fact checking. It turns out Ryan said on a radio show that his personal best was a sub 3 hour race. Runner's World was impressed and started looking into the records. When they couldn't find anything they requested more information. Tonight they got an answer from the campaign and when they looked into it the time when he was 20 years old, 4:01:25.
That is Paul Ryan, running from the truth.
9:19 PM PT: Breaking news, Nicholas Thompson in the New Yorker reports that a Ryan spokesman told him
" race was more than 20 years ago" and he just mixed things up. Really? He then goes on to say if "I were to do any rounding, it would certainly be to four hours".
Of course he would since he always gives others as much slack in their numbers.
