7:34 PM PT: President Clinton will take the stage soon, putting President Obama's name up for the Democratic Party's 2012 nomination.
7:34 PM PT: And here he comes, to Fleetwood Mac and "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow."
7:35 PM PT:

7:36 PM PT: "Fellow Democrats, we are here to nominate a president." Huge cheer. "And I've got one in mind."
7:36 PM PT: "A man who stopped a depression, and put us on the long road to recovery. ... I want to nominate a man who is cool on the outside, but who burns for America on the inside." Chills, listening to him speak.
7:37 PM PT: "And by the way, after last night, i want to nominate a man who had the good sense to marry Michelle Obama." Brings down the house.
7:38 PM PT: "I want Barack Obama to the next president of the United States. And I proudly nominate him to be standard bearer of the Democratic Party."
7:38 PM PT: Good, he's good. That is all.
7:39 PM PT: About Republicans: They live in an "alternate universe." Quoting Bob Strauss, Clinton says Republicans want to convince everyone they were born in a log cabin they built with their hands. "But it ain't so."
7:39 PM PT: "We believe that we're all in this together is a far better philosophy than you're on your own."
7:40 PM PT: Since 1961, 28 years of Republican presidency, 24 years of Democratic. "So what's the score?" In those years: 24 million jobs created under GOP, 42 million under Democrats. "There's a reason for it."
7:41 PM PT: The reason? Caring about our fellow Americans, stopping poverty, feeding the hungry — is also good economics.
7:42 PM PT: "I never learned to hate them," Clinton says, "the way the far right seems to hate our president." And just like they hated him, though he doesn't say that.
7:43 PM PT:
Yeah this was clearly a tragic mistake. Good call, Jen Rubin. #DNC2012

7:45 PM PT: Clinton is in the process of dismantling the rampant Republican extremism and obstructionism.
7:46 PM PT: President Clinton salutes Joe Biden. Standing ovation.
7:47 PM PT: "President Obama apppointed several members of his cabinet even though they supported Hillary in the primary. Heck, he even appointed Hillary. I am very proud of her. I am proud the job she and the national security have done for America."
7:48 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): New thread here.
