During the Democratic National Convention, Gov. Tim Kaine made an important point.  NONE of the national guard units in VA are currently deployed.  ALL 15,000 men and women are home, thanks to Obama.  Supporting our troops and their families is very important in Virginia, where 1 in 3 families are directly connected to the military.

That is why Romney's FOX News Channel interview with Bret Baier needs to be shared (and upvoted) on reddit and the page on FOX REALLY needs to be shared (be sure to hit the "like" on the lower right side of the screen).  Liberally sharing this article on the FOX site will give it enough mojo to work its way up the TRENDING on FOX list.  That will increase its visibility there. Once on the list, they won't be able to bury it.  It will be prominently displayed, like a giant turd floating in the punch bowl.  That's the best way to leave a mark that can't be papered over.  You see, putting "things that are important"  ahead of men and women serving in uniform will hang Mitt in VA.

BAIER: A few more things, Governor. To hear several speakers in Charlotte - and I don't think this is just - they were essentially saying you don't care about the U.S. military because you didn't mention U.S. troops and the war in Afghanistan in your nomination acceptance speech. We understand you went to the American Legion the day before and you talked about the service and sacrifice of the military there. Do you regret opening up this line of attack, now a recurring attack, by leaving out that issue in the speech?

ROMNEY: I only regret you repeating it day in and day out. (LAUGHS)

BAIER: Well I mean, what just came from Charlotte -

ROMNEY: Because when you give a speech, you don't give a laundry list. You talk about the things that you think are important.

Here's what the interview actually sounded like. (h/t Scarce)  As you can see, the transcript just can't capture the total cluelessness, the offhanded callousness, of this guy who thinks THINGS that are important trumps people.  Gee, where have we heard that before?

If you watched that, feel free to add some throw weight to this effort on twitter.

There is a clear and consistent pattern here:
"Corporations are people my friends." = "You talk about the THINGS that you think are important."

The more who see and share this, the sooner we can focus on building out Obama's coat tails in the House and Senate.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
