This is a rant because I'm peeved.  Feel free to ignore it.

I just got into a fight with a relative, and I'm started to get tired of Conserva-Dems and a lot of the Elizabeth Warren dirge that goes on with this site and with a lot of people in the punditry class.  The first thing that happens when we talk about Elizabeth Warren is how she doesn't say the right thing, or didn't handle A or B right, or how she doesn't communicate.  It's like we're wearing Scott Brown 2012 T-shirts.  Now we're saying that her comment about the bankers who caused  the financial crisis are walking through the halls of Congress like they own the place is bad because she's letting the bankers know what she's up to.  She can't hide her emotions and she doesn't play the game the way Bill Clinton would.

Now my relative, who used to be an Elizabeth Warren supporter, is convinced she'll lose like so many on this site and I don't know why.  "Oh, the bank will turn on her now, they'll spend all their money on Brown!"

They already DID.  It's not like this is different than what's she's been saying for the past TWENTY years!

For the love of god, do what Republicans do and get in line!  Elizabeth Warren has what it takes to call for a new Glass Steagal Act.  She can regulate the financial sector so that the instability of proprietary markets don't spread to the rest of us!  The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is already doing its job of protecting consumers and actually regulating mortgage brokers and the other financial institutions that wrecked our economy to get us back on better footing.  Our economy can never get off the ground if the financial sector is constantly teetering on the brink and bankers can swipe people's pensions and deposits.  It doesn't work if consumers don't know how much their house really costs from month to month and what their rights are for their student loans or when credit card companies charge them for things they said were free.

She got it done.  She figured out how to articulate consumer protection so that Americans, who are overworked with little time on their hands can understand.  Americans are easily confused.  She can do great in the Senate where she'll have more power and a pulpit.  Massaging the bankers egos so that they can continue to screw people is the least of her worries!

When Warren comes up in a diary, on a political website, and you wanna say something negative about one of the most honest, pure, no nonsense, get it done politicians that stands for Progressive and liberal values, stop yourself and do what Republicans do, get in line.

Warren 2012 - CRUSH Brown.

Rant off.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
