I recently launched a Kickstarter project to fund production of DARK ZOEY #1, which I will use as a submission to Image, IDW, Darkhorse, etc. EVERYONE who pledges will get a digital copy of the finished comic, even the $1 backers. Print copies will go to those who pledge $5 or more.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the years!

As of Thursday, five days in, I hit the goal! You guys are AMAZING!

Since I have 21 days still to go, I'm going to add some stretch goals. Here's the first:

If I can reach $2000, I'll make #1 a 24-page issue. That's 6 additional pages of story content, or 33% more. I'm only $250 away from this new goal!

Let's see if we can reach this new goal! You guys are helping me launch more than a comic, you're launching my career!

If you can't pledge more, I understand completely. Tell your friends, share it on Facebook, talk about it on your message boards - every little bit helps!

Thank you all SO MUCH!

I had a successful Kickstarter project in the past for a novella series I was writing, and many of you helped. Computer problems derailed me, and once everything was back up and running I learned that I had lost my rough draft for the next book and ALL my series notes. My backers on that project are AUTOMATICALLY getting the equivalent of their pledge in this new project for FREE as a result, so if you pledged on the Hellwatch project, DON'T pledge again unless you absolutely WANT to - you're already going to receive the rewards.
For those of you who are new or interested in helping again, this is a comic book series I'm trying to create and get picked up by an indie publisher, and all proceeds go towards producing the first issue which I'm using as a pilot of sorts

I draw with my mouth and live below the poverty line, so this is how I hope to build a career. I'm currently $250 short of the goal. Please consider pledging!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
