You really have to wonder. Despite the Media's best efforts at equalizing the presidential race, President Obama continues to increase his lead in his states, while he opens up new and growing leads in almost every swing state.
(say, why do they call them swing states? Is there that much infidelity going on there? Or is it because they don't care for rhythm and blues?)
There are a few people who must be really feeling bad right now.
Let's start with the Buyers' Remorse Club for aging, obese, utterly rich men.
Probably at the top of the list squats Sheldon Adelson, a man who profits greatly off of other peoples' misfortune, (even more so than the United Health or other quasi-criminal health insurers) Sheldon has the uncanny knack for picking losers. Much like the majority of patrons who spend their hard earned dollars in his casino.
After squandering millions on behalf of Newt Gingrich, (which really caused people to question Sheldon's sanity), he realized that no matter how he flogged it, Newt was a dead horse. Seriously, anyone who bothered to take a cold hard look at Newt would laugh their asses off. His marital history, his hubris during Clinton's presidency, and his many lies simply made him absolutely unacceptable for the vast majority of Americans. Any rational review of his policies would show that his ideas were bankrupt, consisting far more of sound bites rather than sound policy.
So, what does Sheldon do? He drops Newt and replaces him with a mitwit.
From the prying fan, to the pyre, as it were. Adelman has spent even more millions, pushing for war against Iran, unqualified support and obedience to Israel, and demanding that Romney adopt wholesale, the neocon agenda. The mitwit, having even less foreign policy experience than a pet rock, has bought into the neocon deal much like a heroin addict reacting to free samples from a new supplier.
Now that Sheldon has blown it a second time, one wonders whether he will finally realize that politics and he simply don't mix.

The Koch brothers are another disappointed crew.
They, too, have spent millions pushing their peculiar RW agenda. What I cannot understand is how one of the Kochs can support the arts, while pushing such an anti-human agenda. The Kochs have spread their riches more widely than Sheldon, but, they, too, are seeing the tides turn against them.
The Tea Buggerers, a Koch creation, are finally being seen as ill-informed, obstructionist, reactionary, and zealots. Alec has lost dozens of companies. Ultra-conservative candidates are finding themselves on the short end of the polls, especially where they (with Koch help) pushed out already conservative republicans.
For both the Koch brothers and Adelson, watching Romney self-destructive tendencies, must be leaving a bitter taste in their mouths. Good.

There is another group of people who have to be looking at Romney and shaking their heads.
Michelle Bachmann
Herman Kain
Newt Gingrich
John Huntsman
Rick Perry
Rick Santorum
Ron Paul
Tim Pawlenty
Tom Miller
Thad McCotter
While each one of them is uniquely able to lose an election, in a very entertaining way, they must all be thinking, "We ended up with MITT? Are you kidding me?"
