In yet another bold and daring anti-government move Rand Paul once again proves he just doesn't give a shit, he is the honey badger of Ayn Randian philosophy.
What the hell has giving our veterans a helping hand have to do with aid we give Pakistan, Libya, or Egypt?
Step 1
The obstruction is a replay of last week's Senate session when Paul stood in the way of a veterans' jobs bill in an effort to see his anti-Pakistani funding bill on the floor.
Well maybe that isn't enough so add
Step 2
After rebels seized the U.S. embassy in Egypt and Libyan rebels murdered four Americans including Libyan Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Paul is calling for a bill to halt funding to those nations as well.
This is just making shit up so as to avoid actually being a responsible member of the senate. There should be a law that they cannot leave DC unless they actually produce something useful, in other words they stay in on the floor of the senate with no bathroom breaks until they see reason.
They then wonder why congress is about as popular as the ebola virus and about as dangerous.
So here we have the veterans of two of the longest and most pointless wars in American history are being held hostage by an anti-government dick, who by his own philosophy should by rights be one of the unemployed.
Never mind who sent them into two simultaneous conflicts the fact of the matter is.
1] They were sent.
2] They served their country without question, nor did they demand that Rand Paul be held hostage until they got their way.
3] They have a right to believe that their country will help them in their time of need. I would call that part of the contract.
This just smacks of any old excuse to do fuck all, as if the deficit hasn't already been exploded by trillions of dollars by pointless wars and irresponsible tax cuts, neither of which have been by any measure successful.
Obstructionist irresponsible GOP dicks populate congress, no wonder MItt Romney is their candidate. All for what? Mere effing politics, that's what.
Next time the Republicans ask the military to fight their pointless wars perhaps then is the time to hold the GOP hostage for the legislation that they will so surely need upon their return. If you cant trust them, get them to sign on the dotted line before you do anything.
