Sometimes you have to stop and make sure you haven't fallen through the looking glass.
I thought this week’s entry would be about Mittens kicking himself in the balls, but I was wrong.
Yesterday the United States Senate failed to pass a $1 billion job bill for veterans because it was too expensive. Guess who killed the bill…it was the Republicans.
The Republicans were OK with putting $800 billion on the national credit card to pay for two wars, but $1 billion was just too God damned expensive to help the veterans they hadn’t killed, yet.
Someone needs their ass kicked. The unemployment rate for veterans is 11 percent. We had the money to create these 700,000 unemployed veterans, but we can’t find $1 billion to help them after what they have done for us?
I guess Republicans think supporting our troops means finding six people to support their coffins into when we bury them.
My father is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. When he retired from the Navy in 1969, his grateful country paid for his education. Dad became an elementary school teacher for 19 years. That was after 24 years in the Navy.
We used to take care of the people that were willing to die to keep fat asses like mine safe and crapping in high cotton. Now, we tell them, “That’s a little more than we were willing to spend. We’re not made of money.”
The 48 Senators that voted to block the veterans job bill on Thursday can go to Hell. You arrogant sons-of-bitches play politics with the same people you throw in harm’s way at the drop of an ism…communism, terrorism, socialism…so you can go on television and brag about how you are holding the purse strings.
What kind of inbred, egotistical, emotionless, morally corrupt, heartless sons and daughters of gigantic piles of whale shit thinks like that? I am beyond angry. Congress helped kill the more than 6,500 Americans that died in the Bush/Obama wars, but Congress can’t help the ones it didn’t manage to kill?
You can’t get these vets decent, timely medical care, and now you can’t be bothered to help them become taxpayers. Why does it take tens of months to get a vet a prosthetic leg to replace the one he/she was willing to give up for us?
“Well, you had two legs when you went to Iraq, but you had only one when you returned from Iraq. Please fill out these papers and supply proof that you didn’t just misplace the leg while being careless. Once you finish that, it won’t be less than 18 months before we move you to the ready-to-be-ignored list.”
Screw that. We can always afford to kill and maim them, but now we can’t afford to help them when they come home alive.
“Hey, thanks for losing a leg and all, but, Jesus, do you know what a good prosthetic leg costs?”
“Right, we know you had your brain scrambled by an IED, but treating brain trauma is expensive.”
“Homeless, unemployed AND a veteran? Could you like not come out where people can see you? We have an election to win.”
You disingenuous cocksų₡kers. Kill’em…maim ‘em…make ‘em widows and orphans, but don’t help them. Jesus Christ, don’t actually make a positive impact on anyone’s life. Someone…perhaps that Black fellow in the White house…might get credit for it.
So we add veterans to the Republican “Fų₡k You” list. Let’s recap who’s on that list:
• Minorities
• Women
• Gay people
• Immigrants
• Sick people
• Handicapped people
• Poor people
• Union members
• Children
• Non-Christians
• Unemployed people
• Environmentalists
Here’s the sickest part; Republicans keep people from each of those groups on their side by weaving a web of religion, abortion, and race baiting. They are beyond evil.
Mitt Romney spoke straight from his little, black Republican heart to the other little, black Republican hearts in that video from the May fundraiser that has caused such a sensation. Screw you, Mitt, and screw you too you 48 bastards in the Senate that blocked the veterans job bill.
F. Scott Fitzgerald said it best…
“Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different.”
