I sent Chris Murphy, candidate for Senator from Connecticut $50. Now, I grant you, that's not going to get me a whole lot of access if/when Murphy is elected Senator, but I feel that it does give me the right to criticize his campaign which has been, to put it mildly, WHOLLY INEFFECTIVE!
Murphy is going to lose this race and potentially cost Democrats control of the Senate if he doesn't get off his ass and tell folks why they should vote for him. It's not just me that is exasperated with the Murphy campaign (or lack thereof). This is an editorial published today in The Torrington Register - Torrigton beibng one of he larger town's in Murphy's district/
Right now Democratic candidate Chris Murphy is losing the U.S. Senate race to Republican Linda McMahon.
Candidates who let the opposition define them usually lose.
Candidates who are able to define themselves usually win.
Murphy, unknown throughout most of the state, has been defined by McMahon as a lazy hack who is morally deficient because he missed some house mortgage payments. (A neat trick by someone who herself declared bankruptcy.)

Okay. Chris owed taxes and mortgage payments. Linda and her husband went bankrupt owing $1m. So what? All that really demonstrates is that both candidates were sloppy managers of their finances when they were in their '30's. We get it. Now lets hear what you plan to do if you are elected.
Brian Koontz said it a lot better than I can.
Here's a thought: Enough with the financial finger-pointing. It's time to step on stage, look Connecticut in the eye and debate the issues that matter most to Willow Schulz and the state's voters.
The election is 43 days away. Can we please start having candid conversations -- not attacks, not gimmicks to feed the partisan beast -- clear, substantive conversations about the economy, health care, education and foreign policy?

PLEASE!!!!!
