...for Elizabeth Warren's campaign. Scott Brown's craven, race-baiting performance in the debate, and the bigoted behaviour of his staff (covered here and here by DK member Joan McCarter) have pushed me to donate to Warren for the third time. Here's the letter I sent to her campaign:
I lived in Boston for ~10 years (MIT & Harvard alum) before moving to CA. I love Massachusetts and hope one day to return. Elizabeth Warren's integrity, intelligence, and passion represent to me exactly what MA (and this country) needs. I've donated twice before to the campaign, even though I don't live in the state any longer, because I believe in Elizabeth and her fight for the rights of all Americans. Today, however, I donated more money and am signing up to volunteer not because of Elizabeth, but because of her opponent in the race. Please know that today I donated $100 (via ActBlue) to the Warren campaign in DIRECT response to the disgusting, racist behavior by Scott Brown and his campaign. People like me, from all over the country, believe in Elizabeth and enthusiastically support her in this election. Please let me know how I can help.
Brown, a self-styled "nice guy" Republican that gets along with everyone, went from 0-to-racist-asshole in about 2 seconds after Warren started doing well in the polls. I'm so TIRED of Republicans turning to bigotry as THE go-to move when they feel threatened. You want tax cuts for the rich and business deregulation? Just f**king say so!
I've been following this Senate race for some time, but now I am FIRED UP about getting rid of him. Please help me by donating to Elizabeth Warren on ActBlue.
