Fox News Tabloid reached a new level of exploitation, violence, depravity, and shame today. And we thought that wasn't possible.
Eager to show mindless danger and violence in lieu of real news, the tabloid station aired:
A long car chase with a Dodge Caliber in Phoenix, Ariz., ended with the suspect shooting himself in the head on live TV, appearing to commit suicide...
"We really messed up," Smith told viewers after the flop.
A Fox News executive made the following statement:
We took every precaution to avoid any such live incident by putting the helicopter pictures on a five second delay. Unfortunately, this mistake was the result of a severe human error and we apologize for what viewers ultimately saw on the screen.
Stations like Fox News shouldn't be on the air in a decent society. Airing live car chases on the news is a waste of America's time and they make us dumber as a people. They are exploitative and make a mockery of other people's pain. Many of us in decent society have warned so-called news organizations about this in the past.
It was only a matter of time before this happened. And nobody is surprised that it happened on the fake news station this country is embarrassed by.
