Boston Herald via University of Massachusetts, Lowell: NBC's David Gregory Preps for Fiery UMass/Herald Debate

TAMPA, Fla. - "Meet the Press" host David Gregory says he plans to hold U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren's "feet to the fire" when he moderates a University of Massachusetts Lowell/Boston Herald debate between the two Senate contenders.
Gregory, in an interview yesterday from his NBC broadcast booth at the Republican National Convention, said the Oct. 1 debate is a chance for Massachusetts voters, especially younger voters, to get a true measure of the candidates.
After watching the opening of the first debate, in which Brown made a racist ass of himself by calling into question Warren's Native American heritage, I hope she clobbers him. I found that attack, along with the tomahawk chops by Brown's staffers and the subsequent ad pressing home the smear, personally offensive. My wife, my ex-girlfriend, and my ex-wife all have Native American ancestry. At least two of them would qualify as Native Americans under U.S. government policy, and one of them is enrolled as a Cherokee, just like Warren. I'm sure Brown wouldn't say she's Native American either, but she is. Screw him.
Also, Warren has another opportunity to wipe the debate floor with Brown next week.
