Seriously I expected better. I hate doing short and sweets, I know many people here frown on said diaries but really? Seriously?
I've seen better moderation at Occupy General Assemblies.
I mean I've been a facilitator of Occupy Assemblies, I know what it is like to try and herd cats. However those moments as a facilitator we are attempting to corral tens to hundreds of voices, but Jim Lehrer you have to only corral two. And in reality you only have to corral one liar from attempting to get 'The Last Word'
I was looking forward to tonight, but really you've dropped the reins .
7:35 PM PT: And of course Maddow nails how horrible the moderation was tonight. If anyone can transcript or video I'll link it up.
8:16 PM PT: OLY Ell, wrecking ball. Thank you. As much as I want to respond to the rest of the replies, I have to work tomorrow and still have a group diary (my first!) to work on for tomorrow.
Let it be said by me, that I think the president did a really great job but was hampered by the moderating tonight. Though while Prez might have gotten more time on air, it was obvious that Mitt steam rolled the moderator and allowed a great number of talking points past without allowing POTUS the counter reply, and even when allowing it...interrupting during said reply.
I stand by my assessment.
Worst.Moderation.Ever.
