Jim Lehrer. David Gregory. Blah blah blah.
Let me tell you guys something: ignore the moderators.
A person who comes into a debate with moxie doesn't really give a shit what the moderator says. You know what I hear when I hear moderators? I hear the teacher from Charlie Brown. Candidates have to have the same attitude. Ignoring the moderator is a time tested way to success in a modern debate.
You go into a debate with a set of paragraphs that you want to get said to a big audience. It really doesn't matter what the moderator says, thinks, or asks. They are there to merely introduce and close the show. And guess what, when a moderator gets unruly, it is up to the debater to put the moderator in their place.
Last night there was only one president on that stage. Who's job was it to be in charge? Yeah...the guy with the fucking eagle behind him. One guy is an unemployed used car salesman and the other guy sitting in the middle is a potted plant from the Washington media establishment. You ignore them both and go to work directly with the audience.
Stop blaming Jim Lehrer and put blame squarely on a fighter who didn't show up for this round.
