THIS one was quick. I didn't expect the TV ad would come out this soon. I betcha Obama for America has some more where this came from in the coming days and weeks:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.

Choose where to republish this diary. The diary will be added to the queue for that group. Publish it from the queue to make it appear.

You must be a member of a group to use this feature.

Add a quick update to your diary without changing the diary itself:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary?
(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

If Obama calls Romney a liar, a deafening outrage happens on every TV and in every newspaper.

If Romney calls himself a liar, he's fucked.

Last night, Romney gave the Obama campaign the footage needed.

Seriously, Romney is a dumbass and got played.  But, he really wants to be president.  It would make him so proud.

I'll admit, I have no idea if it was planned or not, but the result of that debate was that Romney tied himself into knots and at great length on healthcare and taxes.  Complete grist for Obama's campaign.

Lost in all the pearl-clutching is that the biggest debate point of the entire night was Romney's refusal to say how tax deductions would render his plan revenue neutral.  More time was spent on this than any other issue save for Romney's equal self-contradiction on healthcare.

I've been thinking they should say. "If we can't trust him here [on the debate stage] how can we trust him here [in the oval office]?"

I've been thinking about his well established reputation for being willing to say absolutely anything to get elected and how that means nobody can actually be sure what he'll do in office.

They did a good job making that point in this ad and I hope that's just the tip of the iceberg on this line of attack.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

lie blizzards and remind the audience that there are too many false statements to correct here and now but that they're being corrected online as we debate.

Pick maybe one or two, make a strong case and move on with your own points.

That's the key, it no longer matters if the opponent tells one lie or hundreds. They're all getting shot down in real time and the audience will be able to see many points we can't expand here in the debate.

Wouldn't hurt for the WH to have a site up and active as part of the debate.

      be able to see.

Commentators on Current TV last night before the debate brought up this fact in relation to some earlier event, and said that the social media debunking exploded on some egregious talking point which helped drive the pundit commentary right away.

  •  rope-a-dope. Let him say whatever he wants (0+ / 0-)

during the debates and then hang him high in the ads for days and days to come.  Best part is Willard is running out of money as fast as his backers are running from him.

  •  Obama needs to move beyond ads (0+ / 0-)

and be hard-hitting in front of the camera in a live event next to Romney. The ads are great, but he needs to do more than respond after the fact and after the damage is done. Not everyone who watched the debates is seeing the ads.
