Greetings DailyKos this is my first dairy here. As a kid I grew up with Big Bird. I remember watching a home video of me holding a Big Bird doll. For many of you Big Bird was a bigger icon then Elmo is to the younger generation. I'm here to help save Big Bird. Together we can save PBS from Mitt Romney. Ask yourself can you watch these crying children and not feel shame for taking away PBS?

This is not the only child hurt from Mitt Romney more videos.

Here is another upset tot

Another one as well

Why Mitt Romney must we hurt this child?

More Kids are speaking out as well

A 3 1/2 year old who isn't friends with Mitt Romney

I feel sorry for the tears

Mitt Romney how many kids must be hurt by your policies to kill pbs

The kids are for Obama because he supports PBS

Another Kid for Obama

Older Kids are even speaking out

Another kid

This is why you should help save Big Bird

So please stop making Babies cry

Reading Rainbow Host tells you why PBS is important

Burton was similarly angry on Friday. He told CNN's Soledad O'Brien that he was "outraged" by Romney, adding, "I couldn’t believe the man actually fixed his mouth to say that. I interpreted it as an attack on children, Soledad... an attack on children who come from a disenfranchised, you know, background."
"I was raised by a woman whose philosophy it was to give her children the best education she could not afford," he said. "So there are places where you can cut. There are places where you need to cut. And there are places that you just don’t cut because it is not right."

I have a 5 year old nephew who is growing up with these programming. I grew up with them and I want my nephew to keep growing up with pbs. So grab a t-shirt and wear it. We must save  Big Bird and pbs for the children. Won't you please think of the children?

Update: Another Video of a kid pleading to save Big Bird. The kid has special needs and is asking Mitt Romney not to take away PBS because of how it helps him read.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
