More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:

  •  Gish Gallop again.... (7+ / 0-)

Yesterday, I was wondering if Obama was preparing for Romney to do a more rational man style of debate and instead got blindsided by that Gish Gallop?

Which makes me fret that if Biden or even Steward are going to get stampeded over by the Gish Gallop in their upcoming debates?

Has Maddow or anybody like her picked up on the Gish Gallop?

Are there any plans to hold down ticket Goopers to the Big Bird statement?

Gish Gallop plays into it because it serves to further fracture the citizenry.  The rethugs want to destroy all the things that unify our nation, public education--beginning with parenthood and Sesame Street--then use of public facilities like parks, libraries, and national parks.  We have contracted out our wars so we don't share in a military experience while not paying for the wars.  The latter will result in the rightwing's desire to faction off even the senior and disabled population by privatizing Medicare and eliminating Social Security.  The plutocrats have built their own worlds independent of those the rest of us share, and they will see to it that we will all become hounds of hell, chewing away at one another in competition for whatever is left over.  We are devolving and breaking apart.

Romney went to France instead of serving in our military, got rich chop-shopping US businesses and eliminating US jobs, off-shored his money in the Cayman Islands, and now tells us to "Believe in America."

I overslept this morning - which might happen once a year - and I fell asleep waaaay early too.  Don't know why I was so worn out yesterday.

Got my older grand daughter coming to spend the night and we'll go out to eat then come home and watch scary movies/shows.  Funny, that was (and still is) her mom's favorite too - scary movies/shows.

Quick MOT break for me. Sounds like you have a lot of fun on tap for today. I am going to let my daughter sleep in. We are in two-sports-overlapping mode until next Tuesday so it is pretty tiring for her. The last cross country meet is Tuesday and then she goes to basketball practice. First basketball game will be the weekend of the 20th.

          Have a great day!!

It is a busy busy day here.  Starting with correcting a problem w/the phone company that I foolishly thought I had corrected on Monday.  I'm hoping Round Two today did the trick!

I'll bet all the sports and beginning the school year has worn your daughter out!  Kids bounce back though - not like us old farts ;-)

            Have a great day!

Coffee is on, but am about to go to a breakfast with some flying buddies from the Commemorative Air Force.  That used to be called the Confederate Air Force.   If you want a comfortable quiet ride, a warbird is not the plane for you.  But if you want a ride that cannot be matched by any amusement park, climb into one of those old warbirds and take a trip down memory lane.

If WW-II had dragged on as long as we have been in Afghanistan, I would have been old enough to go.  I really wanted to fly fighters.  I thought the P-38 was one of the most beautiful airplanes I ever saw.

freeze warning in effect for Sunday night/ Monday morning.

My mollies have outgrown their 10 gallon tank, time to change to a 20 gallon one.  I only have 8 mollies but they put the mollies in the pet stores to shame, and it's hard to keep the water chemistry stable.
