So a bit of good news - maybe this will help break the Obama is losing news out there.

http://www.gallup.com/...

I still suspect Obama is in for some rougher days in this poll. But this is definitely good news.

Same poll was 49-46 on Friday.

This is a registered voter poll, so that means it probably doesn't account for turnout and for voter supression efforts. But it is good news.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

They are counting both the tracking poll with Obama +5 and the earlier announcement that the first 3 days of this poll after the debate have Romney and Obama even.

... match-up page continues to mislead readers by using the Gallup 47-47 tie numbers and labeling that false data as "Gallup Tracker."

The folks at RealClearPolitics are not so naive to not realize their error. They're just flat-out lying sacks of shit.

Hit the Media hard people MSNBC keeps using the 47 - 47 to declare a tie. At 1pm it was the opening. You all are going to have to hit everyone hard over the head on this one.

Tomorrow Gallup's tracker will still show a healthy Obama lead (the two best Romney polling days of the year are already baked in,) which will then have to be handled as an "Obama comeback."     Rasmussen also snapped back from a 2-pt. Romney lead to an exact tie today.  As they use a 3-day tracker, they still include what was likely still a great poll day for Romney, which will fall out tomorrow.   Don't be surprised to see Obama back in the lead by 2% with Rasmussen tomorrow.

Tomorrows narrative will likely be about how Obama has come back strongly in the polls, using Gallup and Rasmussen to make that point.

All good for ratings, btw.   Not really based on actual reality, as those who have followed these polls know.

Today all I have heard is the +5 Pew for Romney, as if all other polls magically disappeared. The press wants a close race, I would be surprised to see them report any "good news" for Obama until Romney is viewed as further ahead.
