Not much else needs to be said to introduce Neetzen Zimmerman's funny article, This Photo of Mitt Romney Bending Over in Front of an Astonished Schoolgirl Is Ripe for the Captioning when Mitt Romney surprised schoolchildren in Fairfield, VA.
Needless to say, however, none of the kids was more surprised than the young girl in AP photographer Evan Vucci's snapshot above, which is best when viewed without a single shred of context.
Del Ray pretty much ended this caption contest before it began with his reappropriation of the classic New Yorker catchall caption "Christ, what an asshole!" — but you're welcome to caption in the photo's general direction below.

My caption was "and, this is where my debate answers came from."
And, in one of the delicious moments of synchronicity, just as I'm typing this, Wolf Blitzer announces on CNN, "and after the break, Mitt Romney shows us his softer side."
If I were writing for the David Letterman show, I would have him playing that "God Bless America" tune backwards, or done as a slow release fart.
Sorry, to be a little silly, when it's only Monday, but I need a little break from all these gloomy polls. I'm sure we're going to turn this around, but it may take a while. A few chuckles along the way couldn't hurt.
Please feel free for a free for all in the comments.
2:49 PM PT: Hey, before anyone accuses us of just being totally silly, let me be the first to report this new post-debate poll showing President Obama leading in Colorado.
Poll Obama Leading Colorado But, Romney Gains Ground After Debate
A new poll from the University of Denver shows President Barack Obama with a slight edge over Mitt Romney in Colorado, ...
Obama held onto his small lead among likely voters in Colorado with 47 percent of the vote after the first debate. But Romney is just four points behind with 43 percent. Five percent said they are still undecided and another four percent said they are voting for someone else.
If we hold on to our leads in WI, MI, NV, PA, NH, and IO, we only need one of the remaining either CO, OH, VA, FL, or NH to get to 270.
