I spent a good chunk of the weekend with a Deadwood marathon. When I think of Governor Mittwit in a room with Al Swearingin, I smile smile SMILE. ;D

Let's get historical. In a shout - out to my 2 favorite Yankees fans, on this date in 1956,    Don Larsen pitched the only perfect game in a World Series as the New York Yankees beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 2 - 0 in Game 5. In a "Get off my lawn!" moment, Chevy Chase is 69 years old today - oye.

It's time for some SPARK in our lives! :D A whole lot of people had a whole lot of fun at Oktoberfest in Munich. Some gators from the South have decided if they can make it in New York, New York, they can make it anywhere! Finally, expect this tasty treat at the next Packers game. ;D

On with The Rachel Maddow Show!

"The X Games" - So, tonight's the first night we've been together since the 1st POTUS debate. How do you think it all went? President Obama sure could've been better, and my head hurt after listening to all of Governor Mittwit's bull$hit, but that's about the extent of my reaction. Governor Mittwit didn't get much of a post - debate bump, President Obama admitted he could've done better, and Big Bird's gotten more press than the both of them! :D And, if Governor Mittwit thinks cutting federal funding to PBS will solve the debt crisis, he's an even bigger Mittwit than I thought. Unemployment is now below 8%. That rumbling y'all heard Friday was MENSA heads 'sploding after that jobs report. Many polls are showing the 2 tied. President Obama's up by 2 in WI, Mittwit's up by 3 in CO, VA shows President Obama up by 3, and other swing state polls are showing similar results. Well, the next debate's a town hall format, and we all know how well Governor Mittwit works & plays with the 99%. That audience will be primarily the 99%, I'd wager. Early voting is going on in OH, but no one really knows what the early voting rules are. Early voting is going on in my fair state, too, but only in 1 locale - the City County building downtown - where it's a pain in the a$$ to park & where you have to pay to park. OH Dem voters are ready to get out & vote early and often. The OH SOS may or may not appeal the Friday ruling that early voting can go on in OH up until right before Election Day. African - American voters voted early to the tune of 26:1 compared to white voters. Wow... Dennis Lieberman & Tom Ritchie are the OH election board gentlemen who were sacked by the OH SOS. The delay in response is more - than - likely an on - purpose shtick to create last minute confusion close to Election Day. And, history proves that when voting information is mucked up, the GOBP cheats, and the GOBP wins. Different counties could have different rules concerning voting? Nice.

"Hollow Point" - Oh good, an NRA story - like I need to raise my blood pressure today or any day. Well, here's my SOP for any gun or NRA story. If I get too pi$$ed off, I'm bailing. The NRA wasn't exactly BFFs with Governor Mittwit in 2008; I bet they are now, hypocritical a$$hats. And, with Gov. Mittwit's gun record in MA, the NRA had a good reason to not like him. When the aforementioned Mittwit began running for POTUS this time around, his gun tune changed. I wonder if Gov. Mittwit's even fired a gun; he claims to have shot plenty of "varmints," though. Last week, the NRA did endorse Governor Mittens - shock of all shocks, I know. They're more racist than they dislike Mittwit. Just how has President Obama decimated gun laws? Well, if you feel like going someplace like Yellowstone or Yosemite or other national park, feel free to pack heat because President Obama signed that sucker into law.

"International Man of Mystery" - Rachel used a chart with pretty colored lines to differentiate the candidates in their defense spending. While President Obama will basically keep they current spending, Governor Mittwit will send it through the roof in historic proportions. He gave his big foreign policy speech today. Did he talk about how Russia's our greatest enemy again? He claimed there was no discussion of terrorism in the 2008 campaign. Well, he's not Governor MITTWIT for nothing. He also has selective memories about signing trade agreements. Governor Mittwit criticized President Obama's "hope" strategy in the Middle East; he forgot his Middle East comments in that infamous 47% tape. Hell, he's probably trying to block that whole mother outta his brainz. He's for & against a timeline for getting out of Afghanistan. Well duh! He's for & against every damn thing! The subject of foreign policy doesn't enthuse the Mittwit. Well, tell him you can strap a doggie on a missile or something, and THAT might get his interest.

"The Interview" - Michele Flournoy gets to critique Governor Mittwit's foreign policy speech from today. Yea, I double dog dare Governor Mittwit to tell President Obama that's he's been weak on foreign policy - you know, President Obama - the guy who ordered the mission that ended up with OBL sleeping with the fish?? Governor Mittwit thought the war in Iraq ended too soon. Well, he's got the neocons on his side on that score; that's about it. Ms. Flournoy was not impressed with today's speech. There's no strateegery behind Mittwit's defense spending; he wants to impress neocons & look tough.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
