Listen I've been inclined to be critical of the president ALL year. I figured we had until September or so to say what we had to say about this man but now it's the 11th hour and the criticism KEEPS coming from progressives. I admit that the perception is that we lost to the masses. I think the masses are wrong. I think romney's "style" appeared fevered, desperate, and unbalanced. He wanted to make ANYTHING stick and Obama just wasn't "present" the problem with a blit attack like that is that it's like a game of tug of war when your opponent just let's go-you go teetering backwards. Well this time He tried to take a swing and obama just wasn't putting up enough resistance and they BOTH Went down in flames if you ask me. No one "Won." but as far as i'm concerned Obama lost more gracefully... Honestly I don't think obama fights with enough conviction and I find myself wishing for an Alan Grayson but At the same time I find that Romney now appears to be a dangerous unbalanced lunatic who will nuke a country before even trying to find out the details. That's my perception. There's FEW things worse that romney could be than a dangerous lunatic with nukes.
So I'm waiting for 9 to roll around, or far be if it's OK for me to make calls in the swing states I'm going to do so today. My girlfriend is fast asleep and I have nothing better to do but What I do know is watching democrats panic on my facebook feed and dailykos have a meltdown over our internal polls has got me upset and enraged. This campaign can use all of the get out the vote it can get and if you're really that pissed at obama do yourself a favor: email him about why. Then if he hasn't lost your support yet go put in an hour or so of Get out the vote, or donate to his campaign OR something.
I wish there was a tracker here. Where we could make sure that everyone who decided to attack the president had either donated or volunteered. If you're not part of the GOTV or a donor at this point in the race I don't want to hear criticism unless it's about a policy issue-The campaign itself is not fair game if you're not part of it.
Do you know, dailykos if I'm in oregon I can just say I'm part of another state? I'm considering making calls in florida. I was a florida resident from 2000 to 2006 so I know at least enough to half ass my way to florida voters... I still look at what's going on in florida pretty often as i have friends there. Alan Grayson is winning my former district and I could not be more proud of them.
It's 7am. I'd love to make a trip down to the Tigard campaign head quarters. Thing is though we're going to slaughter it here in oregon. It won't even be close... I don't think the local campaign needs me.
