Obama lost the style points but he's winning the war. Floridians don't trust the liars and they certainly don't believe their Medicare tales.
A new University of North Florida poll shows the "O" has a 4-percentage point lead over Mittens 49/45 percent.
So what's behind the numbers: http://www.news4jax.com/...
The key to the Obama lead is support from African-American voters (96 percent to 3 percent) and Hispanic voters (59 percent to 33 percent), according to the poll. Also of interest, 37 percent of likely voters "haven't heard enough about" Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan to have an opinion of him, which highlights the importance of his performance in the vice presidential debate Thursday night.
It should be noted that this was a comprehensive poll that covered 10/01-10/09 which included all of the hoopla after the debate and the jobs report. They chose 790 participants.
So why is Romney losing Florida according to this poll?
1. Obama has a 52 percent job-approval rating among likely voters in Florida.
2. Only 35% of likely Florida voters have a favorable opinion of Ryan.
3. Obama leads on Medicare 51/37.
4. On economy: tied @ 44
So in a nutshell, Medicare and Paul Ryan might be the thing that keeps Romney out of the White House.
Oh, and yeah, minorities matter.
