Virginia: Obama 51 (50) Romney 46 (46)
Wisconsin: Obama 50 (51) Romney 47 (45)
Colorado: Romney 48 (47) Obama 47 (48)
(Previous results from mid-Sept in brackets)
UPDATE
Fantastic result in Virginia. The other two are meh, but not horrible. Wisconsin seems to always react to events and then fall back in line. Colorado has swung wildly this election season-not a lot of consistent polling there...
Digging a bit deeper, none of the samples are tilted significantly towards President Obama...
Colorado: Rep 29-27
Virginia: Dem 31-28
Wisconsin: Dem 31-27
Main theme seems to be that impressions of Romney inched up following the debate, but not a lot of voters changed their minds in the horserace,,,
UPDATE 2
Poll in the field Oct 4-9-Thursday through Tuesday. So it includes the two awful days after the debate and does not include any pre-debate samples. All things considering, these are nice results, especially when taken with the Marist polls.
SO TAKE A DEEP BREATH! The state polling has generally held up well, and we've got some good results now from excellent pollsters. Romney hasn't broken ahead in any key states. The best he can claim is a dead heat in Florida and Colorado.
