Why do they lie about everything? They lie because the reward is greater than the risk. they know that corporations own the media since they are in the corporations pockets they can say and do anything knowing that they will not be fact checked or held to a standard to where they have to own up to all their lies. Why has America lost so much self respect and dignity where they are willing to "settle" for people say and do things that do not belong in the 21st century.Lies , racism and discrimination do not belong in a modern society. We as Americans and as children of the earth have to learn to get along with each other or it will be the destruction of civilization and maybe even the earth as we know it.We have to stand up for Honor and Dignity and Self Respect and stop voting in people who hate and lie and do not stand up to the highest standard . Sooner or later they will realize that a divided country is a weak country. We are after all "The United States of America". The declaration of independence stands for" a more perfect union", how is dividing America  making a more perfect union?Be Americans first.. do what is right for all america. Not what is right for just a few at the expense of the many.. We as Americans are supposed to sacrifice for their country and to help their fellow man , not just think of yourselves and the few.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

On most issues, facts are not on their side AND if the American people understood what Republicans really intend to do, Republicans would never win another election.

Why do they still exist?  Is the 1% so rich and powerful that they can continue to produce a lie machine that actually believes itself?  I guess so.

Next step?  Civil War, revolution or both.

      •  why do people still eat at McDonalds? (0+ / 0-)

        it's crappy food.

but millions of dollars worth of advertising persuades those who aren't used to anything better that the food makes them "happy".

And if they spoke of their real policy objectives people would probably start throwing things at them.

    •  They should anyway. (0+ / 0-)

But no.   Republican voters are all wannabes just like the suckers who bought all that stock in the 1920s.  They think by voting Republican they will get rich too.  That is, perhaps, the biggest lie of all.

They disrespect the knowing creatures God made. It's likely that though they have the appearance of being human and are able to act like men, some humans are missing a link in their brains. So, instead of being able to think ahead and evaluate their own behavior, they are limited to responding to prompts, whose source they do not know. Often, one suspects, when they're not acting out of habit, based on repetition, the main prompt is probably one or another of their emotions -- I.e. they're directed by their hormones.

Expecting them to change is probably futile. The best hope seems to lie in triggering a different hormonal response. I think that's what Republican political operatives fear and that accounts for the five year long effort to counter Barack Obama's magnetism. The crowds under the Arch in St. Louis in 2008, in the heartland, surely gave them a turn. If so many people could be marshalled without causing a riot, they were up the creek and only extreme persistence could keep Democrats from  racking up victories. So  McConnell was pledged to defeat and to never give an inch. Do they care that they are not liked? No more than they care about anything but wielding influence. He who perverts the truth has influence. It's a really cheap trick that Satan hit upon. Imagine that! Satan could undo the Creator's handiwork with a lie.
How great is that? And it doesn't even take any work.
