Many bloggers and commenters are describing Joe Biden's debate style as rude, arrogant, and disrespectful. And it was, in many ways. This is how one deals with a little snit whose lies go unchallenged by polite media. But I was hoping for a bit more rudeness on Joe's part. I wanted him to call Ryan a traitor.
Ryan, early on in the debate, stated:
This is not what a real recovery looks like. We need real reforms for real recovery and that’s exactly what Mitt Romney and I are proposing.
Had I been Joe Biden, I’d have responded:
Really? "Real recovery?" That’s not what you and a dozen of your Republican collegues proposed the night of the President’s inauguration. You met and conspired to defeat Mr. Obama by deliberately obstructing the economic recovery of the United States, so that his presidency would be blamed. Now, where I come from, that’s not called “proposing real recovery." It's called treason.
And that's why I'll never run for public office. But, I'll admit, I'm otherwise proud and pleased with how Joe Biden handled Ryan in this debate.
