I agree with Lawrence O'Donnell that Martha Radditz's question about religion had no place in a debate about our government, however, I was very interested in the fact that she got Paul Ryan to say on national TV that he would be against abortion, even in cases of rape, incest and jeopardy to the mother's health!
His having said this on TV during the debate helped clarify the Romney/Ryan position on abortion for anyone who hasn't been paying attention. I found it stunning that his statement didn't raise more ire among women.
On the other hand, Joe Biden's statement that being Catholic didn't give him the right to impose his views on anyone else, was absolutely right. I wish more politicans would get out of the business of trying to tell women what to do, think, and feel and let them control their own bodies! After all, women don't tell politicians (read MEN) that they can't use viagra or cialis because it's GASP, wrong!
On an additional note...My husband and I just signed the petition at drawtheline.org and highly reccomend that everyone do the same. I shared it on facebook with all my friends.
