For some time, Mitt Romney's been using a version of the pregame chant from "Friday Night Lights" in his stump speech. Specifically, he's been saying, "Clear eyes, full hearts and America can't lose." The show's creator, Peter Berg, wasn't at all pleased, and wrote a cease-and-desist letter to Romney.
Well, it apparently didn't take long for Willard--or at least his campaign staff--to respond. This is a screen capture of Romney's Facebook page as of 9:30 am Eastern this morning:
We already knew Romney had a cavalier attitude about using others' material. During the primary, Romney crafted an ad based entirely on the opener to NBC Nightly News on the night Newt Gingrich was found guilty of ethics violations. NBC wasn't pleased, and demanded that the ad be yanked. Romney left it up for awhile, but as of this morning, the video has been made private on his YouTube channel. Still, this says a lot about the kind of guy Mitt is.
