I haven't written here in a while but really people really? (Not everyone but you know who I am talking about). The reason the left loses is because we are willing to admit defeat and freak the fuck out about it after the fact
The right doesn't do that they claim they won and make excuses. Sure it might not be the 'right' way to do something but the media we have isn't an intelligent media. They feed off of it, they play the both sides do it or both sides say when the other sides says...
Instead we (looking at you Shultz and Sullivan) see a President be who he is (rather than the person we decided he should be) and start fainting. Then the media picks up on the Obama got his butt kicked meme. For the Biden/Ryan debate the right claims Biden was rude and smiled too much and guess which meme they picked up on?
The freaking out doesn't do a damn bit of good. Granted we are meaningless in the grand scheme of media conventional wisdom but we still run the ground game. The reason the polls came back is the freak out from the supposed left wing hacks who weren't willing to actually hack.
I mean just wait the right would have claimed Obama the uppity black man needed to attack Romney because the economy was bad had he won the first one... Now it'll be he had to because the polls are close and he and us are freaking out... The media will discount whatever happens accordingly. I mean look how the meme changed that the dumb Biden bullied the genius of the right and how dutifully it became conventional wisdom.
What we need is to figure out how to permeate the discourse in the same way... and not freaking out at the first sign of adversity and making things worse would be a good start.
